Round 7 | The First Energy Muscle Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio Closes Points Standings

After a mid-summer break, Heritage Motorpsorts and driver Dillon Machavern were back racing the No. 24 UniFirst, PPG, Traqgear Mustang as the Trans Am Series stopped at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The second half of the 2015 Trans Am Championship saw the debut of the new No.24 chassis. "We were looking to have a solid showing at Mid-Ohio. We were still sorting the car come race day but I knew it was important to adapt to the car under me and finish strong. The team did a great job and worked tirelessly all weekend. We were in contention for a podium finish but that was dashed due to contact in Turn 5 in the closing laps of the race. Fortunately I was able to recover and come away with a P4 finish. I'm focused on staying in contention,” stated Machavern.

Machavern will begin his junior year at High Point University before heading to Road America for Round 8 and begins juggling course load and the demands of the remaining five races in the 2015 schedule.
